We expect the new pension scheme to go into effect on 1 July 2026. The timeline below provides insight into the key phases. Click on the boxes to learn more.
Timeline
From spring 2025
You will regularly receive information about the new pension scheme through e-mails or letters. You will also receive an invitation to participate in a survey. This survey is about how we inform you about the new pension scheme.
Nothing will change for you as yet. We will inform you about the contents of the new pension scheme by email.
Spring 2026
You will receive an initial calculation with an estimate of your pension in the new scheme.
You will have a preview of your pension in the new pension scheme.

Prepare your questions to ask during the webinar.

You will receive another invitation to participate in a survey. This survey serves to measure whether we are on track in informing you about the new pension scheme.
You can share your opinion about the way we inform you.
1 July 2026
The scheduled date on which the new pension scheme should take effect. We will convert your pension to the new pension scheme.
We will convert your accrued pension to the new scheme. It will take a few weeks for this process to be completed. Are you already receiving a pension from TNO Pension Fund? In that case, you will receive the same payment in July 2026 as in June 2026.
July and August 2026
You cannot make changes or choices online.
Due to the administrative work we need to complete, it is temporarily not possible to submit changes via My Pension statistics (such as registering a partner). Changes from the municipality such as a move or death are processed automatically.
July 2026
Do you have a pension in payment from TNO Pension Fund? Then you will receive the same amount this month as in June 2025.
We calculate the value of your accrued pension. This value is the pension capital you start off with under the new pension scheme.
September 2026
You can view your pension and submit choices and changes again
You can log in to our fund’s new website. You can now view your pension and submit changes and choices. You can also request a value transfer online, but it may take longer (until 2028) before we can process this.
August 2026
Are you receiving a pension from the TNO Pension Fund? Then you will receive the new benefit for the first time this month, with a settlement for July 2026.
This month, you will receive your pension according to the new scheme, with a settlement for July 2026. From September 2026, you will receive your pension under the new scheme as it applies for the rest of the year.
Summer 2026
You will receive a second calculation of your pension in the new scheme.
At the time of the transition, we can calculate the exact value of your pension in the new scheme. You will receive a second calculation in the course of 2026. This shows the amounts in both the current and new scheme.
