This is how we distribute the money

TNO’s social partners made agreements about the distribution of our fund’s assets. They have carefully considered a distribution that is balanced for everyone with a pension from TNO Pension Fund. • Everyone with a pension from TNO Pension Fund receives their own capital for their pension. We will convert the pension you have accrued up to the start of the new pension scheme into capital in the new scheme. This concerns the pension for yourself, the insured partner’s and orphan’s pension and an incapacity pension.
• For some (former) employees with a pension from our fund, the switch to the new scheme may be disadvantageous. We are setting aside a reserve to compensate this group.
• We reserve part of the investment yields. This reserve is partly intended to keep pension payments stable. Another portion goes to the minimum capital requirement and to a reserve for unforeseen costs.

Is there any money left after these steps?

If the financial position (the funding ratio) of TNO Pension Fund is good enough, there will still be money left after the above distribution of the assets. We can use this money to increase the pension capital of all participants. The social partners have made agreements about this.

This is what happens when there is a deficit

If there is not enough money (if the funding ratio is below 106%), there is less money to distribute to everyone with a pension from TNO Pension Fund. New consultations will then take place with the social partners of TNO Pension Fund.
